I had a great time taking the photos for Keener’s Mobile Car Wash with General Manager, Andrew Bryson and crew. They come to your door, steam clean your car, and are available for online booking. Not only that.. They are a Social Enterprise, so at the end of a long car washing day, every net dollar goes to support programs for homeless youth. Seriously!
I took a little trip to Italy and France, and this one room schoolhouse was one of my favorite days. Thus it is my first blog post about my trip!
Noah and I were invited to join the class for thier English lesson and to take pictures. We were not to speak any French so the class could practice their English skills on us! We answered questions such as, “Do you like chocolate?”, “Do you have a cat?”, “Do you like banana?”. It was an absolutely magical afternoon, which so many laughs and it was absolutely delightful to hang with these lovely students.
And yes, it is a stone schoolhouse in the French countryside, they do wear the cutest frocks, they share little wooden desks, and thier excersizes are done on slates with chalk!
A big thank you to Stephanie for bringing us in, the students who made us laugh and to the parents for their permission to share these pictures.
I had the privelege of being a part of the wedding of Jenna & Brandon McKay. It was an elegant affair, full of good friends, spontaneous musical numbers, all things recycled, homemade potterey, old wooden clothes pins, cabbage bouquets, corn on the cob, lots of pie and lots of LOVE.
Noah and I each have a superpower. His superpower is writing Haiku’s. His superpower was very useful as he MC’d.. And he allowed me to share his poetry along with the photos below.
Enjoy and celebrate with us, the LOVE of Jenna, Brandon and all who came to bless them on their special day.
Enjoy each moment captured in picture.. And Haiku.
Noah and I spent a fabulous weekend in Seattle. Sipping chocolate from Chocolate Box, my lovely cousins Mandy, Arden and Charlie, a great little suite from a local through airbnb and a George Nelson exibit at the Bellevue Arts Museum.
I have a new roommate, and she is going to The Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts..for baking! Oh my stars. It’s only her 3rd day, and already our house is full of bread buns, chocolate chip cookies, rice crispy’s, hay stack cookies, and who knows what other delish morsel will come through our door next! There goes my diet. :)
She walked in with these buns after her first day of school, and I just had to take a few pictures. To see her other work and transition to the metropolis of Vancouver, you can check out her blog, Sweet Moments.
Stephanie & John are getting married in 10 sleeps! A year ago, I was able to shoot their love, and capture a few precious moments with Nathan in a little park, under a tree, in Calgary.
I can’t wait for your big day Stephanie & John! To start us off on this blog posting…a poem by another John written just over 400 years ago. May your love be without reason and I hope you dote on each other ever.
Love not me for comely grace, For my pleasing eye or face; Nor for any outward part, No, nor for my constant heart: For those may fail or turn to ill, So thou and I shall sever. Keep therefore a true woman’s eye, And love me still, but know not why; So hast thou the same reason still To doat upon me ever.
